About us

Founded in Dubai and registered with DMCC under the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) activity, ATX brings together software engineering, compliance and design in one company. That combination is the reason a corner shop and a property broker can use the same software with the same confidence.

We build software for merchants across retail, real estate, bullion, hospitality and professional services, and technology that licensed banks and payment providers can offer under their own brand.

Mahmoud Atatreh

Mahmoud founded ATX Pay on a simple observation: customers in the UAE were ready to pay in crypto long before merchants had a safe way to accept it. He set out to build the missing piece: simple, non custodial software that lets a merchant accept a crypto payment safely, with screening and records built in, while ATX never touches the funds.

He leads the company from Dubai, working closely with banks, regulators and licensed partners so that every payment made through ATX software stands up to scrutiny, and with merchants on the floor, because the product only counts if the person at the till can use it.

How ATX Pay collects, uses and protects information when merchants and their customers use our payment services.

What we collect

Merchant account details, trade licence and ownership information required for onboarding, plus transaction records: amounts, timestamps, wallet addresses and payment references. For paying customers we hold only the data attached to the payment itself.

Why we hold it

To operate our software, to run sanctions and risk screening on incoming payments, and to meet the record keeping obligations that apply to us under UAE law.

Who we share it with

Screening and technology providers, third parties you ask us to share information with, and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Transaction and compliance records are retained for the period required by applicable UAE regulation. Account data is deleted on request once those obligations no longer apply.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it, logged, and reviewed. ATX never holds merchant funds and never stores private keys.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Write to hello@atxpay.ai and we will respond within thirty days.

If this policy changes we update this page and note the date above. Material changes are communicated to merchants directly.

Price movement

Digital assets move in price. The amount shown to your customer is held for a set window; if payment does not arrive in time the quote expires and a new amount applies. Merchants who hold digital assets carry the price risk themselves.

Conversion and settlement

ATX does not convert, exchange or settle payments. Any conversion of digital assets to dirhams is a matter between the merchant and a licensed provider of its choice, under that provider's own licence and terms.

Network conditions

Blockchain networks can congest or halt. A delayed confirmation is a property of the network, not of the gateway, and neither ATX nor the merchant can accelerate it.

Irreversibility

Blockchain payments cannot be reversed. Refunds are made by the merchant as a separate outgoing payment.

Screening outcomes

Payments are screened before acceptance. Payments linked to sanctioned or high risk sources may be flagged or rejected, and may need to be reported under applicable law.

Regulatory change

Rules covering digital assets in the UAE and elsewhere continue to develop. Changes may affect which assets we support, which merchants we can serve, and how our software may be used.
